The fund aims for an annual return of at least 15%, net of costs. We base this goal on the backtest we conducted, reasoning from a moderately defensive scenario.

This is because prices tend to drop much faster than they rise, and we only experience those declines fractionally due to our stop. The rebounds during such turbulent periods (e.g., 2002, 2008, 2020) are often so vigorous that we generate significantly more profit than loss during the declines. For this reason, it is crucial that the size of our daily position, and the associated stop order, is proportionate to the size of the capital. This allows us to withstand periods of lesser results. Since profits are unlimited throughout the day and losses are always limited, a healthy ratio between profit and loss days is maintained.
